Fine New Zealand Railway Models

The Addington Steel Wagon Shop, c.1930

Our Goal

Our aim is to design and produce high-quality models for New Zealand Railways modellers, using some of the best printing services available.

Our Models

We primarily cater to 1:64 and 1:34 modellers.
Models are also produced in 1:24 scale for New Zealand Garden Railways.

Selected items are available in 1:87 and 1:120 through 3 Foot 6 Models.
Enquiries for 1:48 or other scales are always welcome.

Orders

Logistics are handled in conjunction with Neville Connew.
Nev manages customs, couriers, and a range of production support, including laser cutting, decal printing, casting, and locally printed work. In return, our models are supplied for his Railcar Company ready-to-run range.

Stock items are typically delivered within 2–3 days.
Printed orders generally take 2–3 weeks to arrive, but can be longer. Once received, all items are carefully checked, repacked, and sent out promptly.

And if you see anything listed at $9999—don’t worry, it’ll be far more reasonably priced once it’s ready.

Commissions

We’ve completed a range of interesting commissions—many for Paul Berntsen—and are always happy to consider new ideas.

Who We Are?

After nearly 50 years as an active modeller and kit designer, arthritis in my hands brought my time at the workbench to an end. However, I was still able to work digitally. Learning Fusion took time, but like most things, it became easier with practice.

Today, I’m enjoying modelling just as much—if not more—than ever before.
Car & Wagon allows me to continue creating and sharing my work, with the invaluable support of Neville and other members of the cartel.
